The HP P4000 G2 SAN is here

Recently HP made available the second generation of their iSCSI virtual storage arrays – formerly known as Lefthand SAN’s

The new G2 is built on high performance commodity Intel based hardware (based on Nehalem HP DL1xx rack servers) and loaded with the potent SAN/iQ operating system acquired as part of HP’s purchase of Lefthand Networks in 2008.

In upcoming posts I will be looking at some of the features and technology that make up the P4500 G2 nodes and the latest release of SAN/iQ 8.5 (released on the 29th March 2010)
